We’ve raised over $9000 for Haitian families since we started fundraising on March 15, 2009! Though our 2009 walkathon is over, Haitians need your help more than ever after the deadly earthquake in January of 2010.

FIDA focuses on projects to boost agricultural productivity. They’re partnered with 33 agricultural co-operatives with an approximate growing membership of 7000, representing some 49,000 individuals. FIDA provides seed money and monitors funds while providing training in business management and accounting skills. As well, FIDA contributes to the building of grain storage units, supply stores and health clinics, within the context of the cooperative model.

Canadian Feed The Children focuses on sanitation, health care, nutrition, and education. Recently, they are providing health care and nutrition to newborns affected by HIV, running educational programs about hygiene and preventative health, and providing daily food and school supplies to orphans, among other activities.
